Formatting Orders to submit via E-Mail

Introduction

If directed by chambers staff, or if you are a limited access user submitting an order on payment of unclaimed funds, submit the proposed order via e-mail.

Formatting Requirements

  1. Attach the proposed order as an MS Word document to a transmittal email.

    Note: Orders submitted in other formats, such as PDF, RTF, or DAT, cannot be accepted.

  2. Include the bankruptcy or adversary case number in the subject line of the e-mail.
  3. Include the signature block for the judge at the end of the body of the order.
  4. Format the signature line of submitting attorney as in the following example:

  5. Format the approval of counsel as in the following example:

  6. Submit the proposed order to the appropriate judge:

    Judge Jacobvitz - jacobvitzstaff@nmb.uscourts.gov (one order per e-mail message).

    Judge Thuma - thumastaff@nmb.uscourts.gov
