Filing Documents
If you are not represented by an attorney and need to file documents in your bankruptcy case or adversary proceeding, there are several options available. Documents cannot be filed via email or via the court's electronic filing system (CM/ECF).
- Option 1: In-Person or by Courier Service
Visit the Clerk's Office in-person. The Clerk's Office is located on the 3rd floor of the Pete V. Domenici U.S. Courthouse, 333 Lomas Blvd NW, Suite 360. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
Documents may be submitted to the Clerk's Office by a third party courier service.
- Option 2: By Mail
Documents may be delivered by U.S. Mail, or other shipping carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc.) to:
Clerk's Office United States Bankruptcy Court
District of New Mexico
Pete V. Domenici U.S. Courthouse
333 Lomas Blvd. NW, Suite 360
Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102
Documents Requiring a Fee
For documents requiring a filing fee, the Clerk cannot accept credit cards from debtors. Money orders, personal checks, or cashier's checks should be made payable to: "Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court."
Cash payments are discouraged as the Clerk's Office Staff will not make change.
