Quick Note
These instructions are for filing a Transfer of Claim other than security, after a proof of claim has been filed. See Fed. R. Bankr. P. 3001(e)(2).
The Clerk will give notice of the alleged transfer to the seller/transferor using Form 2100B.
- Click Bankruptcy Menu
- Click Claims Related and Other Events

Enter the case number.
**When following the steps below, click the Next button to navigate to the next screen.
- Select Transfer of Claim from the event list.

If you are a Creditor filer, the Select any additional attorney(s) screen displays:
- Select any additional attorney(s), or click Next to bypass this screen
- Click OK when you receive the message "Note:you have not selected an attorney"
- At the Select the Party screen, select the Party. If the party is not listed, click on Add/Create New Party.
- If you are an attorney filer, the attorney/party association screen displays, if the association does not yet exist. The check box is preselected.

Browse, verify and attach the document.

The Transfer of Claim screen displays
Enter the information as follows:
- Select Transfer type. You must make a selection for the Transfer Type. If you skip this step, a warning message will display on the next screen: You did not select a Transfer Type. Use the back button in your browser to return to the previous screen and select the Transfer Type.
- Search for the transferee by clicking on "Search Creditors"or if the creditor is not listed, click "Add New Creditor"and click Select.

Search for the transferor, by clicking the "Search Creditors" button
- Select the creditor with the associated claim number (shown in parenthesis) that is being transferred, click Select

If you inadvertently select a creditor without a claim, a Warning! This creditor has not filed a claim message will display. Click Cancel to return to the claims selection screen.
Important Warning: If you complete the process without selecting a claim, a fee will be charged, but the transfer will not appear on the claims register and the transferor (original claimant) will not be substituted for the transferee.
- If more than one claim is being transferred, repeat step (3).
- The fee amount displays.
- Review final docket text.
- NEF Displays, and Summary of current charges.
- Click Pay Now, or Continue Filing to pay later the same day the fee is incurred.
