Federal Bar dues currently fund a wireless network that is accessible from the 13th and 10th floors of the 500 Gold courthouse. Although this network has not been password protected in the past, effective immediately the network has been secured with a password for better security and performance. The Court is responding to complaints that the speed of the wireless network has steadily degraded over time. Analysis shows that the performance problems are being caused by intensive use of the network, partially the result of users who have no connection with the Court. Therefore, a password has been added to the network and the password will be changed on a regular basis. The password is posted on the attorneys tables in both courtrooms and on the table in each hearing room.
