It is time to update the New Mexico Local Bankruptcy Rules (“NM LBRs”), adopted on November 15, 2014, with amendments on December 1, 2017 and April 1, 2019. The NM LBRs are posted to the Court’s website: www.nmb.uscourts.gov under the tab “Forms and Local Rules.”

The Court has empaneled a Local Rules Committee to review the existing NM LBRs for the purpose of eliminating rules that no longer serve any purpose, changing rules that may need clarification, and adding rules as necessary to fill any gaps (“Rule Changes”). As part of that effort, the Court is soliciting comments and suggestions for Rule Changes. Please send your suggested Rule Changes to the NM LBRs to the Court by email to web_ops@nmb.uscourts.gov no later than  April 15, 2024. Any changes to the NM LBRs that the Local Rules Committee proposes will be published for notice and comment prior to adoption.
